The 24 kV vacuum circuit breaker features a higher insulation rating, greater phase-to-phase clearance, and a larger arc-extinguishing chamber. Its withstand voltage, creepage distance, and insulation configuration have all been upgraded. These circuit breakers are not interchangeable, and their voltage ratings are not compatible.
Larger safety clearances between phases and to ground are required; insulation components must not be altered arbitrarily; the cabinet must be well-sealed to prevent dust and condensation; and grounding must be secure and reliable.
