How often do we need to maintain a draw-out circuit breaker?

For normal operation, once every 1 to 2 years is enough. But if it’s used in circuits with frequent operation or heavy loads, you should inspect it every 6 months.

What mandatory interlocks do draw-out circuit breakers have?
  1. If the circuit breaker is closed, you can’t push in or pull out the draw-out unit.
  2. When the draw-out unit is in the operating position, the cabinet door won’t open.If the earthing switch is closed, the draw-out unit can’t be pushed into the operating position.
  3. The draw-out unit isn’t fully seated, the circuit breaker won’t close.
Can draw-out circuit breakers be interchanged?

Usually, they can—if they’re the same model, from the same manufacturer, and fit the same cabinet type. But keep in mind, different manufacturers might have different dimensions and secondary connectors, so you must check the parameters first.
